WORSHIP INFORMATION

 

ADULT CHOIR

The Adult Choir sings on the first Sunday of the month and practices at 8:15 on Sunday mornings.  No formal musical training is required, and the traditional music offered truly enhances our worship experience.

 

ADULT BELL CHOIR

Participants range in age from High Schoolers to adults.  The only requirement to participate is the desire to make beautiful music to enhance our worship services.  The one-hour practices are one evening per week.

 

BIBLE STUDY

Our evening Bible study is usually video-driven and is open to adults and High School students.  We discuss a broad range of topics, reflecting on them through the lens of our faith.

 

BOOK CLUB

Our Book Club meets one Saturday a month and reads a wide variety of titles that provoke rich conversations.  We meet at a local coffeehouse/bakery and enjoy each other’s company and opinions.

 

BROTHERHOOD

The Brotherhood is a men’s group that meets once a month and hosts various fundraisers throughout the year to raise money for mission and outreach.

 

CHERUB & CHILDREN’S CHOIR AND CHILDREN’S BELL CHOIR

We offer a variety of musical opportunities for our children who regularly participate in worship. The children practice during Sunday School.

 

CO-ED CHURCH SOFTBALL TEAM

Our team consists of players of all skill levels and range in age from sixteen to sixty. We compete in a church league with games one evening per week.

 

CONFIRMATION FOR YOUTH

Our Confirmation students are prepared for membership in the church with one year of intense study and preparation.

 

HEARTS IN SERVICE MINISTRY

HIS ministry is a lay ministry of congregational care for members and friends of St. John’s expressing love in the name of Jesus. The members provide regular contacts, assistance with meals and transportation during times of crisis, welcome baskets for new babies, care packages, grief materials, and comfort baskets.

 

LITTLE COUNTRY CHURCH SINGERS

This quartet provides special music throughout the year. Their upbeat songs add joy to our worship.

 

MISSION TEAM

Our Mission Team creates awareness and encourages participation in various mission and outreach opportunities in the community and the world.

 

PRAISE CHOIR

The Praise Choir consists of people of all ages and serves the Lord through contemporary music with faith inspiring lyrics and uplifting rhythm. Practice is held on Sunday mornings.

 

PUPPETS FOR PRAISE

Our Puppet for Praise Ministry is open to all ages and performs during worship once per month. Their presence provides an engaging and fun way to present the Gospel message. They practice on Wednesday evenings.

 

ST. JOHN’S STRINGS

This is the newest addition to our music program where those who play stringed instruments join together as they perform selections once a month to enhance our worship and glorify God.

 

SONSHINE FELLOWSHIP

Sonshine Fellowship is a group made up of all ages. They meet once a month at the church or in someone’s home. Sonshine plans fundraisers throughout the year and utilizes the funds for their mission work. They also enjoy various fellowship activities throughout the year.

 

SUNDAY SCHOOL

Christian Education is available for all ages from Pre-K to adults. We offer two adult Sunday School classes with Pathseekers being our newest class engaging adults in conversations regarding current events.

 

WOMEN’S BOOK STUDY

Women of all ages gather at different times during the year to discuss various Christian book titles.  A 24-hour retreat is offered to all women of the church in the summer.

 

WOMEN’S GUILD

The Women’s Guild is open to all women of the church, and its purpose is to unite women in Christian fellowship and engage in the work of the church faithfully. They participate in mission projects monthly and meet once a month.


YOUTH GROUP

The Youth Group is made of youth ranging in age from Middle School through High School.  They gather regularly for service work and fellowship activities.
